"Forever Young" by The Youth Group.

I can't get enough of this song, and these two. I've never watched the O.C., or heard of these characters, but I'm hooked. Too bad Marissa had to die last week...I'm a litte late to jump on the O.C. bandwagon.
Anyway, this cover of Forever Young by Youth Group is super. Maybe better than the original, and that's saying a lot.

The OC is a great show - I've watched it starting from Season One, which was the best season IMO. It has sadly slipped somewhat downhill for the last two seasons, which is to be expected from a breakout show like The OC. I'm still watching it, though I'm not sure how the writers will fill Mischa's gap, being such a huge part of the show.

As for the song Forever Young, I heard the Alphaville original first, and that has always been the better version for me. The Youth Group is much slower and melodious - more of a modern alt-rock feel. Not to say it isn't good, which it definitely is. Just that the original is better.

I give my opinion on this song in a little bit.

I think the writer was very succesfull filling the gap merissa left...
only a few very depressing shows after it happened.

Um, the OC has offically ended after Marissa died, apparently ratings dropped really fast cuz she was one of the main characters.

yeah finished season 4 now....
really is the end of the oc.
nice name of the last episode: "the end's not near, it's here"

really got to have some faith in the oc writers after merissa died, because it's followed by some real depressing episodes...
aparrently not everyone had that...
don't have much respect for those that can't absorb some real hard drama

if they stuck by a little longer they could have seen that the writers were very succesfull in filling merissa's gap she left(at least I think so)
adding a very nice ending to the many many oc episodes

in the oc they try to get as close to reality as possible...
and merissa's dead sure fell real, too real it seems
yet it's gonna be a hell worser when it happens you in reality
therefore I'm thankfull for this rare learning possibility

I really loved the ending episode for the OC. It gave a fantastic conclusion to the story lines of all the characters throughout the show. For the writers to be able to sum up everything in just that 1 episode was really great, even i got a little emotional when Ryan helped that kid, and in someways, the show repeated itself.
