FLV files are not so easy to share, since needs a FLV viewer and is "not possible" to see them on several generic viewers such as Windows Media Player.
Surprisely easy is to change a FLV file into an AVI file, and takes no especial converter nor a big deal of work:
JUST CHANGE THE FLV EXTENSION INTO AVI EXTENSION
Two ways to do it: 1. find your file and change its extension name, left clicking it twice with 1 second of difference between both clicks OR using the drop menu of the file browser
2. On one window, open and locate the file. On other window you open the cmd window (start->accesories-> system simbol). On that window, you will write:
REN
and you drag drop the file from the other window, and after doing that, you will write
*.avi
so it should look like this:
c:>REN [file name] *.avi
and then press enter.
The new file will appear on your other window as an AVI file, and that is it
Usually capturing video screen is quite a mess. Few video players have screen capture tools and most of the time, configuring them is quite crazy.
Not so much people know that the DVD player software that comes with computers (if you have a DVD driver), can also play mpeg, mp3, AVI and wmv formats, and usually they do have screen capture tools. So you can play those videos on your DVD player software and capture screens too.
To have the best results, considere this:
1. Set the capture size to the original video size (not allways necesarely the DVD software video size)
2. Set the capture format as uncompressed BMP format (jpg is great, but you will lose definition when resampling it. Capture, resample to the new size and THEN convert to JPEG format)
3. Be sure you know WHERE is your capture default folder (and if possible, change to the one is convenient for you)
If you don't have a DVD playersoftware with capabilities of capturing screens, refear to the "Utilities" topics on this forum
Have a nice capture!!
(And guys, does any body have something to share???)
To post a photo gallery is very easy, however, as it seems that very few people has done it, maybe is because people need some help on how to do it. So here we go:
1. On the upper left part of your screen, just below the links to Ryoni.com, Rioni.com community and so on, there are some tabs to navigate with. One of them, syas "New" (between "Go" and "Find"). as can be seen on this image:
Pick that Tab, and a drop menu will be open. Choose the last one: "Photo Album":
A window will be open, with some fields you have to fill:
On the field "Album Name" Write the name you want to give to it (eg. "My Photo Gallery")
WARNING: Do not uncheck the mark on the field "Allow comments to your Album?"
On the field "Album Intro (Required)", ad a comment about your Album (whatever you want. Eg: This is my Photo Gallery")
then pick the "Next" bottom. A new window will be open:
On each field you can select one picture. If you pick the bottom on the right of each field, the familiar select uploading window will appear. After selecting all the pictures (up to 9 pics on this sceen), puch the "Next" bottom again.
A new window will be come:
If you want to add more pics, then pick the "Upload More" link on the center right of the page. A similar to the previous window will pop up. Uoload as many pictures as you want!!
When finishing, press the "Next" link.
After that, another screen will come out:
Very easy to understand. It is to re-organize the pictures. You can add titles and caption comments (not obligatory). If you want to modify the ortder of the pics, just change the numbers that are on the square on the top left of each picture. After that, press the bottom "Update", on the right down of the window. When you are finish, press the "Next" buttom.
The last screen comes out: It's to have a previous look at the Photo Album:
If you want to modify something, press the "Go Back" link on the right down corner. When satisfied, press the "Post" bottom and you are set. The gallery will be uploaded and posted properly in the forum!!
Enjoy posting!!!

So what is this??? what is the advantages of using PAID SOFTWARE or FREEWARE? First, I have to state this premise: "The best Software is the one that you know the best", since is the one you can exploit all its posibilities at max.
After that, let's check this two avatars:
The one in the left was done with a combination of freeware, and the one in the right wit Adobe Premiere 1.5
(Forget about the type of letters, that is completly up to you. Both are possible in any type)
For the first one, I converted from WMV to AVI using STOIK Video Converter 2.1.1, with no changes in any charcteristic. Then with t@b ZS4 Video Editor y selected the frames I wanted, then cutted the frame to 410*350 (instead of 640*480), to delete the black up and down strip areas that has no video on the original, and to select the area of interest. Then I pasted the arc that works as background to the Ryoni.com text, and then added text. I saved, with no changes on the video quality, but spliting the sound track. Finally, with AviTricks Classic, I dimensioned to 150 wide pixels and converted to Animated-GIF format. I could do it directly from ZS4 Video Editor, but it does not adjust the whole frame. Instead, it cut it off, but I did not wanted.
For the second one, I loaded the whole film directly to Adobe Premiere 1.5 Pro, and cut the selected frames. Then I create the scene that is about 420*350, tranfer the video file to it. Adjusted to the proper points and rendered. The result I create a scene to make the titles and the Ryoini.com background, and render it. Then on a thirth scene, I joined both titles and video, and exported the result as AVI Video file. The again with AviTricks I redimensioned it to 150*150 (again, doing it directly with Adobe Premiere would cut the image, not adjust it).
Results are very similar.
So what is the difference among Freeware and Paidware? For the average user (beginer and medium type), $699.00 US, that is the verage cost of Adobe Premiere. For the advanced user, is a world of difference.
You see, Adobe Premiere 1.5 (and now there is a 2.0 version), tere is several advanced functions as ditering, complex transitions, complex animations and a series of tools that you cannot find in any freeware, but randomly, if any, used by beginers and medium users. Pro and advanced users will find much more confortable and useful to use a paid version.
So is up to you: depending on your project range and extent, you can select freeware or paidware.
two posts back comes the instructions of HOW TO MAKE A GALLERY
On this one, we are going to explain:
HOW TO ADD PICTURES TO A GALLERY:

The well known select window will pop up. Choose the file you want to add, and OPTIONALLY, add title and comments in the caption fields (OPTIONAL). Then select the "Add Image" bottom on the lower right part of the window:

______________________________________________________________________________ WARNING: ONLY THE PERSON WHO MADE THE GALLERY OR THE ADMINISTRATOR/SUPERVISOR/MODERATORS CAN MODIFY A GALLERY!!!
Other wise, you will receive an error message and won't be able to modify the gallery. ______________________________________________________________________________
To modofy a gallery, you have two ways to do it:
1. From the Gallery View Section:
1. At the lower right part of the gallery, you will find an Icon with a scren, a foder and an eraser tip (or something like that), just to the left of the "Add Pictures" Icon. Select it:
The organizing screen that came out when you made the gallery will come out:
You can modify the name of the Album (Gallery) and the Album info on the first part.
Then each picture follows with a series of fields, that you can modify:
Image Number - Will change the position of the picture inside the gallery (be aware, if numbers are repeated, will keep the original sequence and no changes will be made on repeated numbers)
Title - (Optional) Caption - (Optional) Change Image - If you select this, the well know "Select" Window from your system will pop up. Selec the new picture you want to repleace with and it will be uploaded, and the former will be erased from the gallery
Delete Image - If you select this, the image will be deleted.
After doing all changes you want, go to the buttom of the window. On the lower left part you will find a bottom "Update". Select that bottom:
After the window is updated, then retourn tothe bottom of the page, and also on the lower right, select the buttom "Next", and follow instructions.
(If you select "Next" before selecting "Update", all changes you made will be lost. So be aware, please)
And that is it!!! You have Updated your Gallery!!!
The second way, beguins from the "Comments" area.
Go to the very first comment (the one from the Icon of the Gallery). On the lower rigth part you will find three Icons on it. One for Replay a comment, other to Edit the comment, and other to Report the Comment.
Select the middle one, or "Edit a Comment"
A window will pop up, that you already know:
And follow the same instructions as in the previous post.

this doesnt work for me... it may appear as an avi file.... but no players i currently own can play it (it says the file is invalid or they do not have the proper codec) and i use 2 codec packages and have tried with WMP 11, WMP classic, VLC player, Winamp, and Nero
